[Call of duty 5] Unhandled Exception Error

Issue

Upon launching Call of Duty World at War, I'm getting the following error:

• • Unhandled Exception Error

I'm using Windows Vista and I've already update DirectX.

Solution

• Click on Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Speakers > Properties > Advanced Tab
• Change the "Default Format" to 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)
